Awaken City Church – QLD is a place where people can meet Jesus, engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God’s glory. Join us for our Sunday services!
What To Expect
WE PREACH JESUS. THIS MEANS WE TEACH FROM THE BIBLE, BECAUSE THE BIBLE IS ALL ABOUT JESUS.
Often we’ll go through whole books of the Bible, verse by verse, or a sermon series on a relevant topic. The sermon usually lasts about 35-45 minutes.
A typical service will last about 90 minutes. We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music that is led by our worship team. There is childcare/creche available and activities for all age groups. Plan to hang around after the service for fellowship and meeting new people.
Worship
AT AWAKEN CITY CHURCH, YOU MAY BE SURPRISED TO HEAR MUSIC THAT IS LOUDER AND BETTER THAN YOU EXPECTED FOR “CHURCH MUSIC”.
We have an amazing community of musicians and singers who give their best every weekend to make our worship experiences musically and spiritually amazing. It’s all for one purpose—not to experience a band, but to experience God through our times of singing. (If it’s all a bit too loud for you, don’t worry—we offer free earplugs.)

If you are a guest,
when you arrive you will be greeted by someone from our Guest Services Team. Our team members will be happy to escort you to the appropriate room for your child, take you to the front of the line, and get check in. At the check-in area, you’ll be greeted by a Kids Ministry volunteer or staff member who will help you register your children. You’ll be handed a sticker with your name, your child’s name, what class your child is in, and a number that identifies your child. Should your child need you during the service?
Where should I park?
When you enter the church parking lot, someone from our Guest Service Team will be directing traffic. We have special spots reserved for our guests, so please watch for an attendant/signs and park in our reserved area. Please follow the instructions of the parking team. We try to structure parking in a way that allows the maximum amount of people to attend our services.
What Should I Wear?
We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you’re joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you’re wearing. In the summertime, it’s not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a shirt. Others prefer to still put on their “Sunday best,” and that’s fine too! We think you’ll fit in no matter how you dress.
Am I expected to put money in the offering?
Offering boxes are located near the doors as you exit the sanctuary and in other convenient locations Within the church. Eftpos, Paypal, and Online services are available on our website and bank details will be passed on the screen near you. If you’re visiting with us, we don’t expect you to put money in the offering boxes unless you feel led to do so, however, if If you consider ACC your church home, we’d love for you to prayerfully consider giving. You can give by Cash, Online transfer, and check at weekend services or any time during weekdays, or you can set up an online giving. Eftpos service is available
